To educate the
global community about the needs of these animals, how
they come to be in rescue, and the role and importance of their wild
counterparts in order to create empathy and understanding of the
lessons they
have to teach, and how each person can make a difference in the world
around
us.

Shy Wolf is licensed by both state and
federal entities and is inspected on a regular basis. An exciting
variety of animals coexist at the Shy Wolf Sanctuary, Education and
Experience Center, Inc.
The Center began with Moondance, the Black Asian Leopard back in 1993.
Today, Shy Wolf is now is a refuge for several Cougars, numerous Wolves
and Wolf-Dogs, foxes, Prairie Dogs and Gopher Tortoises. The rescued
have included a pair of Coyotes, Sugar Gliders and a
Jaguar-Leopard cross.
In fact, this is one of the few places permitted to care for the
threatened Florida Gopher Tortoise. Even those not so exotic
find their way to Shy Wolf Sanctuary. Scooter, Turbo and
Sparky have found a home here.
